The Universal Health Insurance Fund continuously monitors and analyzes the reimbursement process for services submitted by contracted medical organizations. In an interview with Azatutyun Radio, Samvel Kharazyan, performing the duties of Acting Director General of the Fund, spoke about this issue, addressing the deviations identified through monitoring and the work being carried out to resolve them.
The introduction of the Universal Health Insurance system is an important component of the reforms being implemented in the healthcare sector. However, for the effective development of the system, alongside insurance, it is necessary to continuously strengthen primary healthcare, develop digital health, infrastructure, and human resources. Samvel Kharazyan, performing the duties of the Acting Director General of the Universal Health Insurance Fund, spoke about this at the studio of “1in.am.”

A recent episode of the “Dialog” podcast featured Tigran Hovhannisyan, Head of the Contracts, Methodology, Quality Management and Training Department of the Universal Health Insurance Fund. During the conversation, addressing the progress of the system’s implementation, he emphasized that the main goal of the reform is to ensure quality and accessible healthcare for the population and to significantly reduce healthcare expenditures. According to him, the system is being introduced in phases, and it is expected that in two years around 95% of the population will have insurance.
