On April 17, a meeting was held with the participation of the leadership of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, the Universal Health Insurance Foundation, and the World Health Organization. The meeting focused on health financing and universal health insurance. Participants discussed key mechanisms, including revenue collection, pooling, and strategic purchasing.
International experts presented evidence-based tools and approaches for decision-making, enabling more efficient allocation of resources and the development of a sustainable long-term financing model.
The role of primary health care (PHC) was also emphasized as a crucial foundation for the system’s effectiveness and accessibility.
Such meetings and discussions play an important role in strengthening partnerships and supporting the sustainable development of the universal health insurance system.
