The Head of the Contracts, Methodology and Quality Management Department of the Universal Health Insurance Foundation of Armenia, Tigran Hovhannisyan, together with the Foundation’s training team, conducted a four-day in-person training for representatives of all medical centers in Yerevan.
The main topics of the training included the reimbursement procedures within the Universal Health Insurance system, service limitations, and the key mechanisms related to the remuneration of medical personnel. Participants were introduced to the principles behind the formation of the overall payroll fund of medical organizations, the calculation of remuneration for outpatient and inpatient medical staff, as well as the application of service limitation mechanisms. Discussions also covered the remuneration norms for family doctors and the range of conditions for which therapists may provide consultations.
During the meetings, representatives of medical centers had the opportunity to raise questions and discuss issues of concern. The most frequently discussed topics included referral procedures, co-payment regulations, and the processes for conducting laboratory and instrumental examinations.
The training was held in an interactive Q&A format, fostering bilateral professional discussion and exchange of experience.
Similar trainings are also planned to be carried out in the regions in the near future.
