The Universal Health Insurance Fund hereby states that information being circulated by certain users on social media claiming that reimbursement cases submitted by medical organizations are being rejected due to the exhaustion of budgetary funds allocated for universal health insurance is entirely false and constitutes misinformation.
Financing of the Universal Health Insurance system from the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia is being carried out in accordance with the approved schedule and funding volumes.
The rejection of reimbursement cases submitted by medical organizations is carried out solely on the grounds and in accordance with the procedures established by Decision No. 03-L of the Fund’s Interim Board dated May 8, 2026. Such rejections are part of routine operational processes and are in no way related to any limitation or shortage of financial resources.
The Universal Health Insurance Fund continues to operate normally, and all of its obligations are being fulfilled in full.
We urge all individuals to refrain from publishing unsubstantiated claims that mislead the public and undermine both the activities of the Fund and the largest healthcare reform currently underway in Armenia.
Should the dissemination of false information continue, the Fund will pursue legal remedies in accordance with the law, including filing a claim before the competent court to protect its rights and business reputation and to hold those responsible accountable under applicable legislation.
