The procedure for submitting applications for the refund of insurance premium payments exceeding the established rate has been approved

By Decision No. 1 of the Board of Trustees of the Universal Health Insurance Foundation, adopted at the meeting held on February 5, 2026, the procedure for submitting an application for the refund of payments made in excess of the insurance premium rate, as well as the corresponding sample form, has been approved.

The procedure applies to individuals included in groups defined by law who have made payments exceeding the established insurance premium rate. The overpaid amount shall be refunded to the citizen on the basis of an application, within three working days following the registration of the relevant data in the Universal Health Insurance Register.
